Onguma Safari Camps, a collection of luxury lodges bordering Etosha National Park in northern Namibia, will debut an intimate walking trails experience with the opening of the Onguma Trails Camp on April 1. The property will offer two- and three-night, guided walking safaris during the winter season through September.
Limited to just eight guests, the camp features four luxury bell tents (traditional circular tents) with en-suite outdoor bathrooms and private wood-fired hot tubs. Each tent comes equipped with extra-length beds and premium bedding, blending wilderness immersion with upscale comfort.

Travelers will embark on daily guided walks of approximately four to five miles, encountering wildlife and vegetation up close. The experience includes bush meals, sundowner game drives and evening programming with conservation experts who share insights about the reserve's ecology.
The camp emphasizes sustainability through solar power and ecofriendly amenities. Common areas feature hammocks, board games and a firepit for evening relaxation.
The new camp joins Onguma's existing portfolio of five lodges situated within the 86,935-acre private Onguma Game Reserve, known for its diverse wildlife including lion, leopard, and rare black rhino.
Rates start at about $1,370 per person, double. Guests must be at least 16 years old and physically fit. Bookings can be combined with stays at Onguma's other properties.
