Europe river cruise operator Viva Cruises christened its new ship, the Viva Enjoy, in its Dusseldorf homeport on Jan. 14.

The 190-passenger ship is a sister to the Viva Two, which debuted in spring 2023.

Travel writer Jeannine Williamson served as godmother. Known as "the river cruise queen," Williamson has been on 60-plus river cruises and traveled on all the major waterways throughout Europe, America and Asia, Viva Cruises said.

The Viva Enjoy is debuting with four-night wellness cruises, sailing on the Upper and Middle Rhine. Cruises feature activities to boost mood and welfare, such as daily yoga and qi gong sessions. Then the ship will primarily sail on the Danube, with frequent departures from Vienna. The Viva Enjoy will also sail on the Rhine, offering a range of itineraries departing from Amsterdam.

The Viva Enjoy features three restaurants: main restaurant Riverside, Italian eatery Moments and Viva's Bistro at the stern of the ship, serving Asian dishes on some evenings and Italian-Mediterranean cuisine on others.

Viva says its ships offer a "floating premium hotel experience with a modern look and feel-good ambience." There is a pool on the sun deck and free bicycles available for guests to use in port.
