Lemala Camps and Lodges unveiled plans to open a new 20-suite luxury lodge along the rim of Tanzania's Ngorongoro Crater in March 2025. The lodge, named Lemala Osonjoi, will provide guests with exclusive access to the famous wildlife destination via a private road.
The property's prime location, just 250 meters from Lemala's existing camp, enables guests to be the first arrivals on the crater floor each morning and the last to leave each evening. According to the company, this will give travelers superior game-viewing opportunities.
In addition to its strategic position, Lemala Osonjoi will feature inviting suites and amenities like a solar-heated pool overlooking the crater. Large windows are designed to maximize light and showcase the dramatic landscapes.
Lemala said the lodge will deliver an authentic, immersive experience grounded in Tanzanian culture.
