Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has brought back Jason Montague to a leadership position within the company, this time under the new title of chief luxury officer, overseeing the development of NCLH's high-end brands: Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

Oceania president Frank A. Del Rio will remain in his role, reporting to Montague. Andrea DeMarco will depart as president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises on March 4 to pursue new opportunities.

Montague will step in on Feb. 17 to oversee both Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises as the company plans to build five new ships, refurbish nearly all of the brands' existing ships and boost its positioning in the ultra-premium and luxury markets.

NCLH CEO Harry Sommer thanked DeMarco for more than a decade of service to NCLH and for setting a foundation for Regent. She replaced Montague as president of Regent on Jan. 1, 2023. She then went public about her breast cancer diagnosis and used her platform to encourage women to seek out preventive screening.

Oceania expects to launch three new ships through 2029, including the Oceania Allura, due out in July.  Meanwhile, the Oceania Marina is scheduled to be refurbished in 2026 and the Oceania Riviera will likewise undergo refurbishment in 2027.

Regent plans to build two new ships through 2029 and refurbish the Seven Seas Mariner in 2025 and the Seven Seas Voyager in 2026.

Montague has a long history with the upscale NCLH brands. He served as CEO and president of Regent until 2022, when he stepped down and transitioned to the role of NCLH special advisor. Before leading Regent, Montague was president and COO for both Oceania and Regent.

Montague was CFO and executive vice president at Prestige Cruises International before NCLH acquired the company. At Prestige, he played an instrumental role in launching Oceania Cruises, overseeing the purchase of its first R-class vessel, securing an investment from Apollo Global Management, and acquiring Regent.

Montague also led the financing and delivery of the Oceania Marina and Riviera, served as that brand's vice president and treasurer, and senior vice president of finance.
