Italy's 2025 Jubilee Year, which only happens every quarter century, began on Christmas Day 2024 and will end Jan. 6, 2026.
Primarily centered in Rome, the jubilee is ostensibly a celebration of Catholicism — a key event is the opening of the Holy Door at Saint Peter's Basilica in Vatican City, for example — but traditionally it's also a chance for Italy to showcase its cuisine and culture throughout the destination.
