The Carnival Luminosa will homeport in San Francisco in summer 2026, sailing Alaska cruises from the city.
The San Francisco deployment will follow a 22-day repositioning cruise from Brisbane, Australia. The transpacific voyage will visit Fiji, Tahiti, Moorea and Honolulu.
From San Francisco, the ship will sail Alaska cruises from April 27 through Sept. 10, 2026. A series of 10-day cruises, with both Monday and Thursday departures available, includes stops in Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan as well as Prince Rupert, British Columbia.
An 18-day transpacific cruise will depart San Francisco on Sept. 20, 2026, visiting Alaskan ports and sailing to Japan. Port calls include Otaru and Kobe before the cruise concludes in Yokohama.
The Luminosa will also sail 10 four-day Baja Mexico cruises, visiting Ensenada, from April 23 through Aug. 27, 2026.
The Luminosa's schedule from San Francisco is part of Carnival's 53-sailing Alaska deployment in 2026, which also includes the Carnival Miracle and Carnival Spirit sailing from Seattle.
Carnival also announced a special 13-day sailing from Barcelona to Miami departing June 15, 2026, on the Carnival Horizon. The ship will visit Spanish ports Alicante and Malaga as well as Celebration Key, Carnival's new private destination in Grand Bahama. The ship will sail Caribbean cruises from Miami between summer 2026 and spring 2027.
The Carnival Vista will sail from Port Canaveral in 2026-27, and the Carnival Sunshine will sail from Norfolk, Va.
