Aqua Expeditions said it will begin sailing the Seychelles and Zanzibar in December 2025 on a new ship.
Founder and CEO Francesco Galli Zugaro said, "It has always been a dream of mine to venture into East Africa and explore this part of the world on a luxury expedition ship."
Details about the ship, Aqua's sixth, will be revealed at a later date. Aqua says there will be a 1-to-1 crew-to-guest ratio and small-group excursions led by expert guides.
Aqua plans to offer Seychelles itineraries of five and nine nights that may be combined for a 14-night cruise. The itineraries will rotate with 10- and 11-night sailings to both Seychelles and the Zanzibar archipelago.
Guests will have the opportunity to visit biodiversity hotspots like Aldabra, Cosmoledo, Astove, Furquhar Atol, Kilwa Kisiwani and Pemba. Expeditions will also visit the African Banks, the uninhabited northernmost islands in the Seychelles archipelago.
